The Broken Arrow Sunset Amphitheater is expanding its vision as construction continues.
VENU, who is leading construction on the new event space, met with city councils to announce the new amenities and upgrades aimed at enhancing the concert experience.
Originally planned as a $75 million venue, the amphitheater’s budget has now risen to $107 million as developers add features designed to attract guests year-round.
The venue announced it will include a high-end restaurant and hospitality space as part of its plans, offering concertgoers more dining and entertainment options on-site. It's expected to seat 350 people.
To make the amphitheater usable in colder weather, the developers plan to install wind walls and radiant heating throughout the venue. The improvements aim to extend the concert season and keep guests comfortable during performances.
A major design change will replace the originally planned lawn seating with fixed bench seating. Officials say the move provides a more structured layout while enhancing accessibility and comfort for attendees.
The cost of the amphitheater has climbed from $75 million to $107 million as a result of the added amenities and design upgrades. Despite the increase, developers say the improvements will create a better overall experience and attract more visitors.
Construction remains on track, with the amphitheater expected to open by early next year. Additional announcements, including event bookings and restaurant details, are anticipated in the coming months.
