Rogers County Emergency Management is seeking public input on Saturday to develop a plan aimed at preventing serious and deadly crashes on rural roads.

The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the second floor of the Rogers County Courthouse.

The agency said the meeting will focus on identifying key areas of planning and infrastructure to make county roads safer for everyone travelling on them.

Traffic Alert: The Farmer's Market is also happening in the parking lot on that day, but participants can use the overflow lot that's located south of the courthouse.

Where will the funding come from?

If funding for these improvements is approved, 80% of it will be federal, while 20% will be country contributions. Emergency management said the scope of the approved work will have to be completed within five years. Read more about the funding source by clicking here.

What if residents aren't able to attend the meeting, but still want to give input?

Residents can fill out this online form and email it to eoc1@rogerscounty.org.

Emergency Management said it's important to use your address and district when making those suggestions. You can find your district by clicking here.
