Thirteen Oklahoma State University students who had their visas revoked now have an active student immigration status, according to the university.
OSU International Students and Scholars Director Elisabeth Walker told News On 6 on Monday the students whose Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) status was previously terminated have been notified of the change.
Walker noted that if a student's SEVIS record is reactivated, then they are legally allowed to stay in the United States to study.

Walker also said if a student's visa has been expired or revoked, it doesn't determine their student immigration status in the United States. Walker said the visa only needs to be valid when the student first comes into the U.S. However, if the visa remains revoked, then they will need to get it renewed the next time they plan to reenter.
The director also said that a student would be notified of the status of their visa from the Department of State. Additionally, the university would not be notified by the department.
The statements come after the University of Central Oklahoma announced on Friday that some of the students impacted there had their visas reactivated.
