Ollie Gordon II was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 179th pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Gordon delivered one of the most remarkable seasons in OSU history as a sophomore in 2023, leading the nation with 1,732 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. He helped the Cowboys reach the Big 12 Championship game and earned him the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s top running back, along with a Unanimous All-American honor, Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, and a seventh-place finish in Heisman Trophy voting.
Despite a historic 2023 campaign, Gordon’s draft stock slipped after a difficult 2024 season. Oklahoma State struggled to a 3-9 record. Gordon still managed to lead the Cowboys with 880 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep his name near the top of draft boards.
During his time at Oklahoma State, Gordon racked up a lengthy list of accolades and shattered multiple school records. In 2023 alone, he led the nation in yards from scrimmage (2,062), 100-yard games (9), 150-yard games (5), and big-play runs of 20+ yards (21). He became the first OSU player to win the Doak Walker Award and just the fourth sophomore ever to receive the honor.
