Trav's Coats For Kids Distribution To Kick Off Nov. 11

Trav's Coats for Kids begins on Nov. 11, providing warm coats for those in need until Dec. 21. Donations are welcomed.

Temperatures are finally starting to drop and soon it will be time for coat weather.

We want to help make sure kids and grown-ups have a warm coat in the winter, and we do that every year with your help with Trav's Coats for Kids.

That kicks off Monday, Nov. 11, and Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer joined News On 6 at 4 to talk about it.

There are lots of coats available for pickup at the two locations: First Baptist Tulsa Downtown at 4th and Detroit or the Caring Center South at 61st and Mingo. Coats will be distributed until Dec. 21.

Yale Cleaners is still accepting new or gently used kid and adult-size coats. They need infant coats and 2X, 3X and 4X coats the most. Donated coats can be dropped off at any Yale Cleaners location.
