No one in college football at any level had more receiving yards last year than Terrill Davis.
From Division II to The Big 12
The Choctaw product racked up over 1,600 yards to go with 15 touchdowns for Central Oklahoma in 2024. Both of those numbers were new program records. Now Davis wants to show his talent is good enough to produce big time numbers at the Power 4 level.
"Everyone that doesn't think my game can translate, I have to prove those guys wrong and just come out here and help my team win, Davis said."
Smooth Transition to Oklahoma State
Leaving the Central Oklahoma program was not an easy decision for Davis. But, the wide receiver says the transition to Stillwater has been smooth and he's pushing himself every day to get better after only playing one year of high school football.
"I feel like I still have a lot to learn, but feel like my career is just getting started so that is exciting to me, Davis said. He added, "I'll be playing both inside and outside at receiver so that is different for me, but I'm up for the challenge."
High Praise from Head Coach Mike Gundy
With the Cowboys' top three receivers from a year ago no longer on the roster, Davis has a chance to become a top threat for OSU in 2025. After all, the All-American did catch over 105 passes for UCO a season ago.
"I would say he has exceeded my expectations, Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy said." Gundy added, "He seems to be picking up the game and our scheme quickly. It looks like he is going to hold up physically, and if can do that then he will help us win games this fall."
