The Owasso Police Department is investigating a fight between two 14-year-old students at the West High School campus.

Officers said the altercation happened on Monday. Later that evening, one of the students allegedly made threats online to harm the other. Detectives and school resource officers have spoken with the families involved and are continuing their investigation.

Police emphasized there are no known threats against other students or the school. However, out of what they called an abundance of caution, officers will have an increased presence at schools on Tuesday.

Statement from the district:

"We are aware of an incident between two students on Monday afternoon at the OHS West Campus which did result in injuries to one student. There is an active OPD investigation into what caused the injuries and the nature of the altercation. No threats have been made toward the school at this time and the District will continue to cooperate with OPD in addressing inappropriate student behaviors on campus."
