A local pickleball tournament offered more than just a day of fun on the court. It also helped raise money for children in need during the upcoming holiday season.

The “Double Bounce for Blessing” charity tournament brought players together in Broken Arrow to support Blankets of Blessing, a nonprofit that provides winter essentials and Christmas gifts to children in underserved communities.

Proceeds from the event will help cover the cost of toys, books, clothing and blankets distributed during the organization’s annual holiday outreach.

“Once you’re in there in the event and you see how happy a kid is when they get their gifts, it’s a feeling you can’t replace with anything,” said volunteer Saira Llamas.

While the exact date of the tournament was not immediately confirmed, organizers said the event plays a key role in helping local families feel supported during the colder months.

Blankets of Blessing continues to accept donations and volunteers ahead of its winter giveaway.
