Tulsa National's run to the Little League World Series in Williamsport came to an end on Monday afternoon with a 5-2 loss to Texas East in the Southwest Regional semifinals in Waco, TX.
Tulsa got on the board in the top of the 1st when Jaxon Lisle scored on a wild pitch to give Oklahoma a 1-0 lead. East Texas would also score on a wild pitch in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 1.
The game would remain tied at 1-1 until the top of the 4th. Tulsa National would retake the lead thanks to another wild pitch that allowed Boston Cox to score. That would be the final run for Tulsa National in the game.
Texas East would score two runs in the bottom of the 4th, and then would add two more insurance runs in the bottom of the 5th for the 5-2 victory and a date in the championship game.
Tulsa National had 8 hits on the afternoon, led by Jackson Timmerman's three hits. It was also a clean day in the field for Tulsa National, as they did not commit an error.
Bubba Hodges started the day on the mound for Tulsa National, allowing one hit and two runs (one earned) over three-and-a-third innings.
With the loss, Tulsa National finishes 3-2 in the Little League Baseball Southwest Regional.
