The Dallas Cowboys received a sigh of relief after initial fears of a torn ACL for left tackle Tyler Guyton were downgraded to a non-surgical bone fracture, according to ESPN. The 2024 first-round pick is expected to miss 4–6 weeks after going down during Monday’s training camp practice.
Guyton, who started 11 games as a rookie and is projected to anchor the left side of the line, was helped off the field but avoided serious damage. His absence adds to a mounting crisis on Dallas' offensive front, which also lost newcomer Robert Jones on Sunday to a neck fracture that will sideline him 2–3 months.
With both Guyton and Jones out, the spotlight shifts to rookie Tyler Booker and veteran depth options like Asim Richards, Hakeem Adeniji, and Ajani Cornelius. The Cowboys may also consider sliding Pro Bowl guard Tyler Smith to tackle if needed.
The injuries compound what’s already been a turbulent offseason in Dallas, marked by fan unrest and an unresolved contract dispute with star defender Micah Parsons.
