Texas Edges Oklahoma 4-2 Behind Late Homers, Sooners Face Elimination
No. 2 Oklahoma rallied to erase an early deficit, but late solo home runs in the fifth and sixth innings lifted No. 6 Texas to a 4-2 win in Saturday’s WCWS winners bracket matchup.
OU pitcher Sam Landry went the distance, allowing three earned runs on eight hits, while Texas’ Teagan Kavan struck out eight in a complete game. Ella Parker and Gabbie Garcia had two hits each for the Sooners, who now face No. 16 Oregon in an elimination game Sunday
