Jenni Roller etched her name into the history books Thursday afternoon at Indian Springs Country Club, winning the 108th Oklahoma State Amateur Championship with a 3 & 1 victory over Brooklyn Benn.

Roller wasted no time setting the tone, rolling in birdies on holes one and three, while Benn stumbled with a double bogey on the second. After Benn responded with a birdie on four, Roller delivered a statement eagle on the par-4 sixth hole—holing out from 108 yards to go 3-up.

A key turning point came at the eighth, where Roller sank a clutch 25-foot birdie just before Benn missed her shorter attempt, extending the lead to four. Despite Benn’s birdies on 9 and 12 and Roller’s bogeys on 13, 14, and 16, the Tulsa native closed it out with a steady par on 17.

“I putted really well when I needed to,” Roller said after the win. “I made a lot of really long putts today and worked on a few wedge things, so I was able to hit them a little closer.”

The win marks Roller’s first state amateur title and punches her ticket to one of the most prestigious events in women’s golf—the U.S. Women’s Amateur, set for August 4–10 at Bandon Dunes in Oregon. It will be her debut appearance in the national championship.

“I’d say this is very special because it gets me into the U.S. Amateur at Bandon,” Roller added. “It’s not my favorite win, but it’s definitely one of the most meaningful—especially winning here in Tulsa.”

Though friends off the course, Roller admitted the final with Benn was all business: “We’re both very competitive. It wasn’t a match filled with a lot of talking—it was about hitting good golf shots and staying in the zone.”

Now, Roller sets her sights on the rugged coastal layout of Bandon Dunes, ready to represent Oklahoma on the national stage.
