Two people were hospitalized after a rollover crash late Sunday night in Sapulpa, according to police.

Sapulpa Police said a man and a woman had to be pulled from their overturned car after a passerby spotted the wreck and called 911. The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. near Old Sapulpa Road and West 61st Street.

Officers said a Ford Fusion was heading east when it left the road, hit a tree and flipped over.

Both occupants were trapped inside the car and had to be extricated, first responders said. They were transported to the hospital, but their conditions have not been released.

The car landed on its roof in the middle of the road. Crews cleared the wreck around 1 a.m. Monday.

Police have not released the names of those involved or said what caused the crash.
