Police confirm 2 deaths inside Owasso home was result of murder-suicide

Police say that two people who were found shot and killed inside an Owasso home on Friday, July 18, died in a murder-suicide.

The Owasso Police Department confirmed Tuesday that the incident where two people were found deceased inside a home on July 18 was the result of a murder-suicide.

The department said the opening stages of the investigation indicate the man shot and killed the female, then turned the gun on himself.

The names of those deceased have not been released.

Two people were found dead Friday morning inside an Owasso home, according to police.

Officers with the Owasso Police Department said they were called to a residence in the 8000 block of North 146th East Avenue around 9:12 a.m., after a family member discovered the bodies.

Police have not released the names of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Investigators said there is no evidence of an outstanding suspect and no ongoing threat to the public.
