Fort Cobb-Broxton's Eli Willits and Stillwater's Ethan Holliday may make the big headlines in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft. After all, Willits became the youngest top overall pick in the draft's history at 17 years old when the Washington Nationals, and Holliday was taken fourth overall by his dad's former team, the Colorado Rockies, on Sunday.
But the moment wasn't any less big on Monday when Victory Christian's Kaemyn Franklin was selected in the 14th round by the Chicago Cubs. Franklin is the first Victory Christian player to be drafted out of high school, 421st overall pick in this year's draft. The pitcher and third baseman will join his older brother Kohl in the Cubs' organization. Kohl was drafted out of Broken Arrow High School in 2018 and is now one of the organization's top prospects.
