Luke Spencer meets with the media

Head coach Luke Spencer met with the media Friday morning to preview the pivotal homestand.

Performance of his team so far:

"Up to this point, I've been pleased with the group. I think the performances have been really good. As a whole, the team dynamic has been positive. You always look at the table and think you could be in a better position, but all in all, I've been pleased up to this point with the performances and the group. I think a lot of the games come down to us being able to finish our chances."

On being 3 points out of 1st place:

"We know where we're at in the standings. But the only way we can do best by the table is to win the next game. I think you can get overwhelmed if you're looking at the table every week and every second, saying, "This is where we're at, guys, we have to win this game." So we just try to narrow our focus. Take advantage of each day, and try to win the next game."

Importance of the next 2 matches at home:

"I think it's a big advantage for us. I think not having to travel as much, being able to sleep in our own beds as players, is important ahead of these next 2 games. They're all important, but when you look at how many games all the other teams have played and that we have 1 game in hand, 2 games in hand over some opponents, these next 2 games are important for us."
