Owasso's Red, White and Boom fireworks brought families out for what turned out to be a great night outside.

The show started at 9:30, but people spent the entire day getting ready. The preshow at Redbud Festival Park was packed.

Food, Music, and Festivities

From dancing to some country music to eating from local food trucks, families came out in full red, white, and blue. The preshow gave people a chance to relax and enjoy the holiday before the fireworks.

"All kinds of free family fun. We have activities going until nine o'clock with some great country music on stage, a water mall competition, and some free activities for the kids," said Bethany Brewer with the City of Owasso.

The park was filled with lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and plenty of Owasso pride.

Fun for All Ages

Kids had no shortage of things to do. They could play games, get their faces painted, and take a variety of inflatables for a spin—or tumble.

As the sun started to set, the anticipation started to rise for the big show.

"It's fun to actually see that come to fruition, and have it all out here today and see everyone enjoy all the hard work it puts into itself," said Brewer.

Community Celebrates Together

Courtney Stafford is from Broken Arrow and says she always looks forward to 4th of July fireworks.

"It's just a tradition that we do with the kids every year, and they wouldn't let me let them miss it if I wanted to," said Stafford.

And a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate as Americans.

"A lot of things are changing about America right now, but the whole gist of the Fourth of July and bringing everybody together is probably the best part. Just everybody working together is what America is supposed to be about," she said.

If you missed it this year, organizers say they plan to bring Red, White, and Boom back even bigger next Fourth of July.
