Gasoline prices continue to drop, encouraging more people to drive over the 4th of July holiday, according to AAA. The travel club's daily price tracker showed Oklahoma's average fuel price at $2.72 per gallon, while the national average was $3.15 on July 4.

Tulsa's average fuel price was 9 cents higher than Oklahoma City.

One year ago, the Oklahoma average was $3.12 per gallon

Tulsa International Airport reported heavy but not record travel for the week leading up to the holiday, and Tulsa's downtown Greyhound bus terminal was busy as well.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is monitoring traffic flow on highways, with a network of cameras available for the public.
