The Muskogee Police Department will hold a ceremonial procession Friday to honor K-9 Tracker, a police dog who recently passed away after serving with distinction.

The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. on June 27, with the department’s K-9 Division escorting Tracker to his final resting place. Officers invited the public to line the sidewalks on Okmulgee Avenue between 4th and Main Street to pay their respects as the procession passes by.

In a social media post, the department thanked the community for its support and invited residents to help bid farewell to a “loyal partner and protector.”

Additional details about Tracker’s service history were not immediately available, but the department emphasized the important role K-9 units play in daily police operations and community safety.
