Juneteenth Closings: Which city services are closed in Tulsa?

Several City of Tulsa facilities will be closed Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth, though essential services and trash collection will continue as scheduled.

City offices and courts closed for the holiday

City Hall, Municipal Court, and other city buildings will be closed for Juneteenth. Despite the closures, public safety and mission-critical operations will remain in effect.

For water or sewer emergencies, residents can call 24-hour numbers: (918) 596-9488 for water and (918) 586-6999 for sewer.

Trash and recycling are collected on schedule

Trash and recycling pickup will occur as usual on June 19. Yard waste and bulky waste services scheduled for Thursday will instead be collected on Friday, June 20.

Other city facilities and services

1. The City of Tulsa mulch site at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. will be closed Thursday, June 19, and Sunday, June 22. It operates on its regular schedule all other days: Sunday through Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed on Wednesdays.
2. Tulsa Animal Services at 3031 N. Erie Ave. will be open on June 19. Daily hours are 2 to 6 p.m.
3. Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed.
4. Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be open.
5. The Tulsa Zoo will remain open.
6. Oxley Nature Center’s visitor center will be closed, though its trails will stay open.

Public transportation unaffected

MetroLink Tulsa will operate its normal bus schedule on June 19.
