Owasso police identify woman arrested after pursuit in stolen U-Haul

Owasso Police say a woman driving a stolen U-Haul van led officers on a chase into Tulsa before crashing and being arrested with fentanyl in the vehicle.

Owasso Police have identified the woman arrested after a pursuit in a stolen U-Haul van that ended in a crash Thursday evening.

Officers said 31-year-old Carley Crown was driving a stolen vehicle when it was flagged by a license plate reader near 96th Street North. When police attempted to stop the van, Crown allegedly took off, heading south on U.S. Highway 169 into Tulsa.

The chase ended when the van crashed into a fence near Pine Street and Mingo Road. Authorities said no one was injured.

Investigators later determined Crown was intoxicated and had fentanyl inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

CHARGES:

  1. Eluding a police officer
  2. Possession of a stolen vehicle
  3. Possession of a controlled substance
  4. Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
  5. Leaving the scene of a property damage accident
