TSA PreCheck enrollment events coming to Tulsa

AAA Oklahoma is helping travelers save time at the airport by hosting two TSA PreCheck® enrollment events in Tulsa this June. In partnership with IDEMIA, an authorized enrollment provider, the events will allow residents to apply for or renew their TSA PreCheck memberships locally.

The program provides a smoother, faster security process for approved travelers at over 200 participating airports nationwide.

Where and When to Enroll

Travelers will have two chances to complete the enrollment process in Tulsa:

1. June 21–22 at the AAA Route 66 Road Fest, 4145 E 21st St, Tulsa, OK 74114
2. June 23–24 at the AAA Travel & Insurance Store, 2121 E 15th St, Tulsa, OK 74104

Appointments can be scheduled online by visiting tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov, clicking “Find an Enrollment Center,” and entering “Tulsa, OK.”

Why It Matters

“With interest in air travel at record levels, especially now in the midst of the busy summer travel season, TSA PreCheck provides travelers a more convenient and expedited way through airport security lines,” said Shawn Steward, Public Affairs Manager for AAA Oklahoma.

Enrolled travelers typically wait 10 minutes or less and are allowed to keep shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and leave laptops and 3-1-1 liquids in their bags.

How the Process Works

The TSA PreCheck Application Program is open to U.S. citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent residents.

The enrollment includes:

1. Completing an online application
2. Attending an in-person appointment to provide ID and citizenship documents
3. Fingerprinting and photo capture
4. Paying a $76.75 fee for a five-year membership

Most applicants receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) within three to five days, which must be added to flight reservations to access TSA PreCheck benefits.
