Job seekers in Tulsa have a new place to access employment support. Workforce services previously available at the Eastgate Metroplex have moved across town, marking a new chapter for job placement efforts in the city.
The Oklahoma Works American Job Center at Eastgate Metroplex in Tulsa shut its doors. In response, workforce services are now operating out of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services building near 36th Street North and Peoria.
The site provides a range of employment resources, including job training, resume help and unemployment assistance. These programs are part of the Oklahoma Works network, aimed at supporting job readiness and career placement.
While the Tulsa center transitions, job seekers can still access support through other Oklahoma Works offices throughout Green Country. The centers still open include Sapulpa, Okmulgee, Muskogee, Pryor, and Bartlesville.
A new American Job Center is expected to open later this year in Tulsa. No official date or location has been announced yet.
