Ongoing rainfall has forced the closure of County Line Road (South 23rd Street) between 81st Street (Houston) and 91st Street (Washington) due to flooding, according to local authorities.

Additional road closures have been reported across the area as emergency crews respond to dangerous conditions. The Oak Grove Fire Department says it has already conducted two water rescues this morning. Officials are urging drivers to stay off flooded roads, warning that attempting to cross high water puts both drivers and first responders at risk.

As of now, the following roads are closed due to flooding:

  1. 273rd at Adams Creek
  2. 241st between 61st and 71st
  3. 337th just south of 81st Street
  4. 353rd/Lone Star south of 81st Street
  5. 305th between 41st and 61st
  6. 51st Street east of 305th
  7. 257th between 41st and 51st
  8. 31st Street just west of Midway

Authorities stress: “Do not drive through high waters.” Drivers are urged to find alternate routes and heed the safety message: “Turn around, don’t drown.”
