Life Senior Services is hosting its upcoming Lifestyle and Wellness Expo on Tuesday, July 8, at Expo Square's Exchange Center, promising a full day of activities, education, and free resources for Tulsa-area seniors.
“The expo is coming up. It is on Tuesday, July 8. It's from 8:30 until 2:30. It is at the Expo Square in the Exchange Center building,” said Bernie Dornblaser of Life Senior Services. “We are expecting about 150 vendors that'll focus in on needs for seniors. In addition, we are hoping that we get about 1,500 seniors that will be attending that day. So it's gonna be just a really fun, high-energy day for Tulsans.”
The free event is designed as a one-stop shop for seniors to explore services and information related to aging.
“There are all kinds of things to help meet the needs as our population starts to age. Know that there are resources out there,” Dornblaser said.
What to Expect at the Expo:
Attendees can take advantage of a variety of health screenings throughout the day, including:
“Anything that will go ahead and give you information that maybe you need to see a doctor further from there,” Dornblaser said.
There will also be educational talks, including one by Lori Fulbright of News On 6.
“She will be talking about her scams and frauds, all the information that she has gathered over the year. And that is a great speech,” Dornblaser said.
Additional presentations include:
There will also be giveaways, including ten $100 ReServe gift cards, courtesy of Memorial Park.
“So the day is just packed with loaded with fun things to do as well, too,” Dornblaser said.
Transportation and Other Services
Attendees won’t need to worry about getting from the parking lot to the event entrance.
“There’s a shuttle service to take people from cars to doors,” Dornblaser said. “Whether it's 100 degrees or whether it's pouring down rain, we're going to be able to get you from your car into the Exchange Center, which will be absolutely perfect.”
Bonus Services Offered:
“If you want to go ahead and purge some documents that you've had for years that you no longer need, go ahead and bring them on over,” Dornblaser added.
The event is free and open to the public. Shuttle service and all listed resources will be available on-site.
