Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams is lacing up for the NBA Finals in more ways than one.

Adidas has officially announced the release of Williams’ first player-exclusive sneaker: the Harden Vol. 9 “JDub” colorway.

The new kicks arrive Friday, June 6, at 2 a.m. CDT on Adidas.com and at select retailers. They retail for $160.

A sneaker inspired by childhood nostalgia

The “JDub” PE version of the Harden Vol. 9 stands out with a clean white base accented by Lucid Lime, Lucid Pink, and purple details, all nods to the quirky duo of Pinky and the Brain, which Williams said was his favorite cartoon growing up.

This unique colorway isn’t just a visual tribute. Williams’ personal touch is everywhere:

  1. His “JDub” signature logo is stitched onto the heel.
  2. His jersey number is printed on the tongue tab.
  3. He debuted the design in-game on Feb. 21 vs. the Utah Jazz.

Since that game, the Thunder guard has worn the sneaker several times during the regular season, including against former Thunder star James Harden himself in March.

Built for performance on and off the court

Though the “JDub” shoe leans into personal flair, it doesn’t sacrifice function. Like other Harden Vol. 9 models, this pair includes several features tailored to fast-paced play:

  1. A full-length Lightboost midsole designed for energy return
  2. Grid-mesh ventilation to enhance breathability
  3. Fragmented radial traction for quick directional changes

The performance specs, combined with bold color and custom branding, make the “JDub” a standout in Adidas’ basketball line this year.

Not a signature shoe yet

Williams has been part of the Adidas Basketball family since entering the NBA, but this marks the first time his name and branding appear on a retail release.

While not a full signature line, the “JDub” colorway represents a major milestone and possibly a preview of what’s to come.

Adidas has yet to announce a full line under Williams’ name, but the rollout of this PE, complete with logo and storytelling, signals the brand is betting big on the rising star.

Thunder fans and sneaker collectors alike will have a chance to grab a piece of Williams’ growing legacy, just in time for his NBA Finals debut.
