Tulsa first responders spent Monday morning running up and down Cry Baby Hill in a challenge to kick off this year's Saint Francis Tulsa Tough.

Police officers, firefighters, deputies and EMSA competed in teams of three, seeing who could run the fastest while carrying a small bike.

Saint Francis said this new relay challenge highlights the work first responders do every day for the Tulsa community.

"They not only risk their lives caring for us, but they do things like pull people out of cars that have been wrecked or carry folks out of burning houses," Saint Francis CEO Cliff Robertson said.

Tulsa Police took home the Cry Baby trophy and a $1,000 check to use as they want.

Monday was the official kickoff before cyclists hit the streets of Downtown Tulsa on Friday.
