4 Union Public Schools sites offering free meals for kids this summer

Union Public Schools is providing free breakfasts and lunches for children across multiple locations. Here’s where and when you can find them.

Families in the Union Public Schools district can count on free meals for their children this summer through its Summer Food Service Program. The district will serve meals at several locations, with breakfast and lunch times varying by site.

Here's a breakdown of each location’s schedule.

1. Union Multipurpose Activity Center (UMAC)

- 6636 S Mingo Rd

- June 9 – July 31

- Lunch: 8:45 to 9:30 a.m.

- No meals served on Fridays

- No service June 30 through July 4

2. Union High School

- 6636 S Mingo Rd

- June 2 – June 26 and July 7 – 10

- Breakfast: 7:15 to 8:15 a.m.

- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

- No meals served on Fridays

3. Grove Elementary School

- 102002 E 62nd St

- June 2 – August 7

- Breakfast: 7:15 to 9:15 a.m.

- Lunch: 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

- No meals served July 3 or 4

4. Ellen Ochoa Elementary

- 3303 S 121st E Ave

- June 2 – June 26 and August 4 – 8

- Breakfast: 8:15 to 9:15 a.m.

- Lunch: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

- No meals served on Fridays

What to Know:

Meals are available to all children under 18, regardless of income or background. No registration or documentation is required. Meals are available on a first come, first serve basis.
