Emergency crews in Broken Arrow are responding to multiple reports of flash flooding across the city, with at least one driver rescued from rising waters. Broken Arrow police are urging drivers to avoid flooded roadways and use alternate routes.

Streets impacted by floodwaters

City crews report flooding at several key intersections, including:

  1. 2000 East Kenosha Street
  2. 500 East Hillside Drive
  3. 2000 East Houston Street
  4. 400 West Kenosha Street

Broken Arrow police helped rescue a stranded driver early Sunday morning with help from the Broken Arrow Fire Department.

Safety reminder to the public

Officials remind the public that driving into flooded areas is dangerous and can quickly turn life-threatening. Even a few inches of moving water can sweep away a vehicle. As more rain is possible throughout the day, residents are encouraged to stay alert to changing conditions.

Residents who encounter emergencies should call 911. For non-emergencies, contact (918) 259-8400.
