What’s open and closed in Tulsa on Memorial Day 2025

With Memorial Day approaching on Monday, May 26, many Tulsa residents will see changes to city services.

While most of the City of Tulsa offices and facilities will be closed, essential operations like public safety and trash collection will continue as usual.

Here's a breakdown of what’s open and closed around the city on the holiday:

City Offices and Emergency Services

City Hall, Municipal Court, and other city facilities will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. However, public safety and other mission-critical services will continue operating.

Trash, Recycling, and Yard Waste Collection

Refuse and recycling collection will follow the regular Monday schedule on May 26.

Yard waste and bulky waste scheduled for Monday will be picked up a day later on Tuesday, May 27.

Parks, Golf Courses, and the Zoo

Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed on Monday. However, the Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will remain open, along with the Tulsa Zoo.

Oxley Nature Center’s visitor center will be closed, but the outdoor trails will still be accessible to the public.

Animal Services and Mulch Site

The City of Tulsa Animal Shelter at 3031 N. Erie Ave. will close for the holiday and reopen on Tuesday, May 27, with standard hours from 2 to 6 p.m.

The city mulch site at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. will also be closed on Monday. It will reopen on Tuesday and resume its regular schedule:

1. Open: Sunday through Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
2. Closed: Wednesdays

Bus Services

MetroLink Tulsa will not operate on Memorial Day. Regular bus service will resume on Tuesday.
