A 12-run third inning — all before recording an out — powered No. 24 Oklahoma State to a 16-8 win over Indiana in Saturday’s NCAA Tournament elimination game.
The inning set an NCAA Tournament record and marked OSU’s biggest since 2018. The 16 total runs were a program-best in NCAA play, and the 18 hits were a season high.
Amanda Hasler’s third-inning grand slam — OSU’s first of the year — was followed two pitches later by a Rosie Davis homer. Rachael Hathoot tallied a career-high four hits, while Megan Delgadillo scored three times. Every Cowgirl starter scored.
The win was Kenny Gajewski’s 400th at OSU and keeps the Cowgirls (35-19) alive in the regional. They’ll face Arkansas on Sunday and must win twice to advance.
RyLee Crandall earned the win; Indiana (34-20) used five pitchers, with Brianna Copeland taking the loss.
