Oklahoma has made great progress to fight back against the opioid epidemic and to combat the rise in fentanyl, however, people across the state are still struggling with addiction. Here are some resources in Green Country.
Free Naloxone
The State of Oklahoma, paid for in part by funds collected by the state’s opioid lawsuit settlement, offers free naloxone through the mail. It arrives in non-descript packaging.
You can fill out this form to get them sent to you. However, it may take some time due to fulfillment delays.
Family and Children’s Services in Tulsa also has several spots across town where you can pick up naloxone, no questions asked.
Naloxone is also available for purchase at most pharmacies. It’s available over the counter.
Free Fentanyl Test Kits
Fentanyl test kits allow anyone to test powders, pills or injectable drugs for the deadly chemical.
You can get test kits mailed to you through the same website the state uses to send naloxone.
Family and Children’s Services in Tulsa also distributes kits at locations around the city, they’re the same ones that house naloxone.
Test kits are also for sale in pharmacies without a prescription.
