Tulsa Police arrested five people they say did a drive-by shooting, then led police on a chase before crashing out. Police say they found several AR-style guns in the suspects' car.
Police arrested Jaden Dean, Marcos Grayson, Joeiune Nelson, George Mason and Chayentria Ray.
Police say the front passenger, Chayentria Ray, had a two-year-old child in her lap during all of this. She was arrested for child endangerment.
Investigators say they got called to a drive-by shooting near 56th Street North and MLK Thursday afternoon, where the victim told police the suspects drove by her house and fired 15 to 20 shots at her. Officers found several shell casings in the street from different guns.
The victim told police the suspect took off in a black SUV.
"Through the investigation from the shots fired up north, we developed a suspect vehicle. We had the vehicle make, model and tag, so from that point we were able to comb the area and search for it, and one of the officers spotted it," said Captain Andrew McKenzie with Tulsa Police.
Officers say they tried to pull the suspects over, but they took off and led police on a chase, lost their front tire and later crashed. Police say the suspects tried to run away from the car but were caught.
"One of them that ran on foot was dog bit from our K9 unit," said McKenzie.
Officers say they found several AR-style pistols and an AR-style rifle in the car, along with the two-year-old child. Police say one of the suspects had a shell casing in the pocket of his hoodie when they arrested him.
Police say one of the suspects told officers they had been looking for a specific victim, and when they found them, they all started shooting.
Jaden Dean, Marcos Grayson, Joeiune Nelson, and George Mason were all arrested for shooting with intent to kill and using a car to do a shooting.
