The Tulsa Performing Arts Center is welcoming the community to enjoy a free midday concert as part of its “Brown Bag It” series—an informal, monthly musical event designed to make live performances more accessible.
Held the first Wednesday of every month, the series gives attendees the chance to hear professional local musicians and emerging artists during the lunch hour.
Hosted by the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, the “Brown Bag It” concerts take place inside the Westby Pavilion and are open to the public at no cost.
Each concert is about 40 minutes long and encourages connection between musicians and the audience. Performers often share background stories or insights into the music, helping break down traditional barriers in classical performance.
This month’s performance begins at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday inside the Westby Pavilion at the Tulsa PAC.
Free parking is available in Lot 101, located just east of the PAC between 2nd and 3rd streets.
The May 7 concert will feature the Tulsa Opera Filstrup Artists, a group of emerging opera singers who regularly perform in Tulsa Opera’s mainstage productions.
Their appearance in the “Brown Bag It” series offers an intimate opportunity to see rising talent in a more relaxed setting.
Whether you're a longtime opera fan or simply curious about classical music, the “Brown Bag It” series offers a friendly and approachable entry point. Guests are encouraged to bring their lunch, enjoy the show, and experience the power of live music during the midday break.
No reservations are required.
