A 10-year-old boy was killed and a 12-year-old girl critically injured in a utility terrain vehicle crash Thursday evening near Prague, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. near the intersection of County Roads 3570 and 1070.
Investigators said the UTV was traveling south on County Road 3570 at an unsafe speed when it left the roadway, rolled into a ditch and ejected the driver.
The 10-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 12-year-old girl was flown by MediFlight to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City in critical condition. A 3-year-old boy who was also in the vehicle was not injured, troopers said.
No names have been released. The crash remains under investigation.
