According to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are set to face off again on December 13 in Oklahoma City, continuing the in-state rivalry that many feared might fade when the Sooners left the Big 12 for the SEC.
The December matchup will mark the second consecutive nonconference Bedlam game held at Paycom Center in downtown OKC. The Sooners won last season’s game 80–65.
With Oklahoma’s departure from the Big 12 in July 2024, the future of the all-sports Bedlam Series was thrown into doubt. However, both OU coach Porter Moser and Oklahoma State head coach Steve Lutz have remained vocal about preserving the rivalry.
Bedlam is the first non-conference game announcement for both schools.
The upcoming clash promises to feature two very different rosters from a year ago.
Moser has quickly retooled his NCAA Tournament-qualifying squad with a deep transfer haul, headlined by Nijel Pack (Miami), Derrion Reid (Alabama), Xzayvier Brown (Saint Joseph's), and Tae Davis (Notre Dame). It’s a group trying to maintain momentum following the program’s first Big Dance appearance since 2021.
Meanwhile, Steve Lutz’s Oklahoma State team will have a near-complete roster overhaul in Year 2 of his tenure. Only Robert Jennings II and Andrija Vukovic return from last season’s 17-18 record. Lutz has added seven transfer players, including Kanye Clary (Mississippi State), Jaylen Curry (UMass), Anthony Roy (Green Bay), and Isaiah Coleman (Seton Hall), as well as three high school signees.
The all-time series series stands with Oklahoma leading 144–106 across 250 meetings.
