Lake Eufaula isn’t just busy with crappie fishing — many anglers have discovered that paddlefish also call the lake home.

Grayson caught an 85-pound paddlefish, also known as a spoonbill, on the lake Saturday.

Oklahoma’s paddlefish population has grown significantly since the 1990s, when Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation fisheries biologists began efforts to reintroduce the species to state waters, including Lake Eufaula.
