A good Samaritan helped a stabbing victim last week in Warner and tells News On 6 what those moments were like.

News On 6's Sam Carrico tells us the good Samaritan was the victim's neighbor.

Lucky Dobbs said that when he heard someone scream for help, he didn't hesitate to jump into action.

He was standing outside his home in Warner when he heard someone yelling for help, and he knew what he had to do.

"I went over to I went running straight over there, straight in the old church and everything," he said.

He immediately jumped into action.

"I ran, took less than a minute to get over there," he said.

He broke up the fight and made sure the victim was okay.

"I'm like, I can't let him bleed out. I gotta intervene so I can cut in and get him out and get him safe, get him to get medical attention," he said.

John Chase was booked into jail for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

"It was an adrenaline rush, saving someone," said Dobbs.

Dobbs says his neighborhood is usually quiet, with everyone minding their own business.

"Got to keep the neighborhood safe, yeah, can't have this stuff happening around the neighborhood," he said.

Lucky said he doesn't want anything in return for helping his neighbor, he just wants peace.

"I've got the Superman Batman logo right here. And when I seen that, the Superman logo started burning. But the one I said was my son's my first son's momma, she gave me the nickname, you're my superhero. So after that was said, and that happened, after I got out of there, I looked up at the sky. I'm like, I know why you done that," he said.

Chase was booked into the Muskogee County Jail, but has bonded out.

Records show Chase has previous convictions for assault and battery, being a felon with a gun and embezzlement.
