The Tulsa SPCA is seeking fosters for several litters of kittens left in the shelter's lobby.

Two people arrived with three boxes of cats and left when a staff member stepped away. The boxes held 16 kittens and three adult cats.

"Now we, all of a sudden, have 16 kittens and 3 cats we have to feed and take care of, feed and take care of their medical needs and get them spayed or neutered and we really need to find fosters for them because we don't have the space to house them," said Suzanne Jalot with the Tulsa SPCA.

The SPCA says during springtime, what they call "kitten season," they need more people to foster and consider adopting, but most of all, they need people to spay or neuter cats to reduce the number of kittens.
