Tulsa firefighters welcomed two new firetrucks to its fleet this week.
The Tulsa Fire Department (TFD) said it was notified Monday morning that the trucks were ready to go, so they brought in all the gear and a loading hose from their older units into the new ones.
The department said the engines were then moved to its training center, so crews can go through several different exercises to make sure each engine is in tip-top shape. Anytime a fire department gets a new engine, firefighters are required to demonstrate that they can efficiently operate it, according to TFD.
These engines are now in service at Station 23 near 51st and Yale and at Station 4, which is located on the southwest side of Downtown Tulsa.
