New rates coming to Tulsa Mulch Site; free service continues for residents

Tulsa residents can continue to drop off and pick up green waste for free at the Tulsa Mulch Site.

However, beginning June 1, non-residents and all commercial businesses will see new rates, following an adjustment approved by the Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy (TARE).

Officials say the rate changes were necessary to reflect the true cost of service delivery.

The mulch site, located at 2100 N. 145th E. Ave., will maintain free access for Tulsa residents who show a valid driver’s license or a current City of Tulsa utility bill.

New Rate Structure for Non-Residents and Commercial Customers

Starting June 1, charges at the Tulsa Mulch Site will depend on the size of the vehicle or trailer used for drop-off or pickup:

1. Pickup trucks: $15.84 per 3 cubic yards
2. Single axle trailers: $15.84 per 3 cubic yards
3. Double axle trailers: $26.40 per 5 cubic yards
4. Dump trucks: $52.80 per 10 cubic yards
5. Tandem trucks: $68.64 per 13 cubic yards
6. 20-yard trucks: $105.60 per 20 cubic yards
7. 30-yard tree service vehicles: $158.40 per 30 cubic yards

Payment must be made by credit card, purchase card or debit card. No other forms of payment will be accepted.

Operating Hours at Tulsa Mulch Site

The mulch site will remain open on the following schedule, excluding City holidays:

1. Sunday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (residential customers only)
2. Monday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
3. Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
4. Wednesday: Closed
5. Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
6. Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
7. Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
