Severe winds caused widespread damage and power outages across Green Country, leaving thousands without electricity and toppling trees and utility poles in multiple counties.

As of the latest reports, more than 2,100 customers were without power in Delaware County, nearly 2,000 in Rogers County, around 1,000 in Creek County, and nearly 700 in Ottawa County, according to utility outage maps.

In Rogers County, several utility poles were snapped on the west side of the Will Rogers Memorial along Highway 88. Crews have been working to assess and repair the damage.

Near Salina, a fallen tree limb damaged power lines and sparked a small fire, contributing to additional outages in that area.

Reports of wind damage also came from communities including Owasso, Collinsville, Claremore, Pryor, and Miami, where trees and limbs were downed and some structures sustained minor damage.
