Man hospitalized after overnight shooting in Tulsa

Tulsa police say a man was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury after he and another man were shot at while walking near 51st Street North and Hartford Avenue early Tuesday.

A man is recovering in the hospital after a shooting early Tuesday near 51st Street North and Hartford Avenue, according to Tulsa police.

Officers said they responded to the area around 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Two men told police they were walking along Hartford Avenue when someone began shooting at them.

Police said one of the men was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown, but officers do not believe the injury is life-threatening. The second man was not injured.

Officers said several bullets also struck nearby vehicles and a house, but no one else was hurt.

Investigators said the victims are unsure who fired the shots or why. No suspect information has been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
