Emergencies can happen at any time, making preparation crucial.
Camp Bandage is a free, family-friendly event that has been held annually since 1983. It offers children the chance to learn first aid, safety practices, disaster preparedness, and more.
This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, from noon to 4 p.m. at Central Park in Broken Arrow.
Kirk Klein from Camp Bandage and Ethan Hutchins from the Broken Arrow Police Department joined News On 6 to emphasize the importance of community collaboration and hands-on learning experiences.
In addition to educational activities, there will be numerous booths, free ice cream, and hot dogs. Organizers hope the event will equip children with potentially life-saving skills.
