The Tulsa LitFest wrapped up several days full of exploring Oklahoma's writing scene with a book fair.
Lots of local authors came out to Fulton Street Books and Coffee on Sunday to connect with their reading communities.
Organizers said the goal of the event is to show the Tulsa community all of the local work that's getting written in their neighborhoods.
Lainey Ross, who wrote the book "Tornado Alley", spoke to News On 6 about how her book has developed a conversation outside the pages of her book.
"It's just brought this whole community of people that also have storm anxiety or have, you know, PTSD from tornadoes together. And we can all openly talk about it when it's usually taboo," Ross said.
