OKLAHOMA CITY -

2025 marks 30 years since the unprecedented domestic terror attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. 168 people, including 19 children, were killed when a 4,000- pound bomb exploded downtown.

Since that tragedy, which changed our country forever, the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, dedicated in 2000 and 2001, has shared its mission to bring comfort, strength, peace, hope, and serenity by educating visitors about the historic impact of the attack, and by honoring the victims, survivors, and first responders of the events of April 19, 1995.

Following is what to know about the ceremony and other events happening in Oklahoma City, marking 30 years since the bombing.

Remembrance Ceremony: 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025

The public is invited to gather for the 30th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony from 8:30-10:30 a.m., April 19. Due to weather, the ceremony was moved indoors.

Former President Bill Clinton is the keynote speaker for the ceremony, which will include 168 moments of silence, a reading of the names of those killed and remarks from survivors, family members and community leaders.

How to watch the ceremony:

Free entry to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum Saturday, April 19, 2025

Following the ceremony, admission to the Memorial Museum will be free thanks to Cox Communications' support. The Memorial and Museum will close at 5 p.m. Saturday.

OKC Memorial Marathon is next weekend

April 26-27 the 25th annual “Run to Remember” will bring 6 races to OKC, culminating in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. All event proceeds benefit the Memorial Museum.
