As graduation nears for software engineering students at Atlas School, the public is invited to see what they’ve been building. The school’s spring Capstone showcase will feature projects designed to tackle real-world problems through technology.
Here are five things to know about the event:
1. The Showcase Happens Thursday at 2 p.m.
The event takes place on April 17 at Atlas School at 15 N. Cheyenne Ave. in downtown Tulsa. Doors open to the public at 2 p.m.
2. Nine Student Groups Will Present Projects
Graduating students have spent months developing their Capstone projects in teams. In total, nine groups will take part in the showcase.
3. The Projects Address a Range of Issues
This year’s innovations include an emergency response communication hub, a social networking app to strengthen personal connections, and other tech tools built for impact.
4. It’s Free and Open to the Public

5. It’s a Launchpad Into Tech Careers
For students, the Capstone is more than a school assignment. It’s a professional milestone that often serves as a stepping stone into the tech workforce.
