Tulsa Women’s Golf captures 2025 American Championship

Tulsa adds another title to its name in American Women’s Golf Championship, Romaine Massery wins individual championship.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane secured the 2025 American Women’s Golf Championship title on Wednesday, delivering a commanding performance from start to finish. Leading after every round, Tulsa clinched the championship with a final-round score of 5-under 283, finishing the 54-hole tournament at 12-under 852.

This victory marks Tulsa’s second American Women’s Golf Championship, making them just the fourth program in conference history to win multiple titles—joining Houston (3), UCF (2), and SMU (2).

The Golden Hurricane entered the final round with a commanding 15-stroke lead, and never looked back. The course average on the final day was 74.25 across 55 rounds, while the overall tournament average stood at 74.99.


Individual Performance

Tulsa was led by individual champion Romaine Massery, who claimed medalist honors with a three-round total of 7-under 209. She was backed by a strong team performance, with all three scorers placing in the top 10:

  1. Lovisa Gunnar: 3rd place – 3-under 213
  2. Jennifer Roller: 6th place – 2-under 214
  3. Sydney Seigal: Tied for 10th – Even-par 216
