The Oklahoma City Thunder are set to play their last home game of the regular season at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The next time the team takes the court in the Paycom Center will be for the NBA playoffs. It will be the Thunder’s 12th playoff appearance since 2010 and the second season in a row.

Reflecting on the regular season

"We are known to be Loud City, and our fans once again this season have lived up to that name. They've been loud. They've been proud. They've been cheering our team on," said Gayle Maxwell, a Thunder spokesperson.

She says the loyal fan base in Oklahoma City heavily contributes to the atmosphere at Thunder home games.

“The team just feeds off that great energy,” Maxwell said. “For us, it’s about making it an experience of a lifetime. It’s about creating moments. It’s about these memories that you won’t forget.”

The Thunder currently holds a 64-14 record.

Looking ahead to the playoffs

“We’re very excited and very grateful to have another opportunity to participate in the playoffs,” Maxwell said.

NBA playoffs begin on April 19, and the Thunder clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

Taking the fans along for the ride

In the past, the Oklahoma City Thunder hosted different kinds of fan events to celebrate home playoff games. Most recently, each 2024 home playoff game was accompanied by Thunder Up in the Park at Scissortail Park.

Maxwell did not reveal any specific plans for the 2025 playoffs, but did confirm that one fan favorite playoff tradition will be back.

"Absolutely. There will be playoff t-shirts. That is a fan favorite. So that'll be back. I'm going to have to keep the designs to myself for now, but we'll definitely be revealing those to you," Maxwell said.

Like in previous years, each fan will receive a complimentary t-shirt on their seat when they attend a home playoff game.

Tickets go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.
