Red dirt country band Turnpike Troubadours is teasing new music ahead of their highly anticipated shows with Cross Canadian Ragweed this weekend.

The Boys from Oklahoma sold-out shows: What to know

The Oklahoma-based group posted a TikTok earlier this week with a clip of an unreleased song, announcing a new album set to drop on Friday, April 11. The teaser has already gained traction across social media platforms.

The release would mark Turnpike Troubadours’ first new album since 2023’s A Cat in the Rain, which followed a four-year hiatus and celebrated their return to touring and recording.

Formed in 2005 in Tahlequah, Turnpike Troubadours quickly earned a dedicated following for their storytelling-driven songwriting and blend of country, rock, and Americana influences.

What is Red Dirt music?

This weekend, the band is playing back-to-back sold-out shows at Boone Pickens Stadium alongside Cross Canadian Ragweed, another Oklahoma-based red dirt group reuniting for the first time in more than a decade.

The shows — billed as “Boys From Oklahoma” — are a celebration of Oklahoma’s signature country sound, drawing thousands of fans from across the region.
